    Previously, she served as Senior Associate Director of International Programs in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. She has an adjunct appointment in the School of Integrative Plant Science in the College of Agriculture at Cornell University where she contributes to courses on agricultural biotechnology at the graduate and undergraduate level and was part of an interdisciplinary team that developed a massive open online course (MOOC) on the science and politics of GMOs on Cornell’s EdX platform. She serves as the founding Director of the Alliance for Science - a global communications effort that promotes evidence-informed decision-making across a range of science issues, including plant biotechnology. Specifically, she works to improve science communication and public policy. Sarah works at the nexus of plant science and the societal issues that affect the plant science research enabling environment. Sarah is a professor at the Boyce Thompson Institute.
